About Our Practice in Virginia

Dr. Fardink received a degree in chemistry from Princeton University and then graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Dr. Fardink focuses on specialty contacts, including scleral lenses and corneal (rigid) gas permeable lenses. He completed an advanced rotation with honors at the Case Western Reserve University Department of Ophthalmology, where he fit specialty contact lenses onto cornea transplant patients. He also completed an ocular disease rotation at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center, where he treated glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other ocular disorders. While an optometry student, Dr. Fardink co-founded OSU’s Contact Lens Advancement Society, of which he was also president, and served as vice president of OSU’s Private Practice Club.

He is a former volunteer EMT and lead guitar player for The Band Keratopathy (an all optometry rock band). He lives with his wife, Christina, and their son, Emmett.

Dr. Andrew Chan received his B.S. in Biology from Valparaiso University then graduated from Indiana University College of Optometry.  Dr. Chan focuses mainly in primary care Optometry to help his community see their best, and diagnose/treat various ocular diseases.

Dr. Chan and his wife, Courtney, have one son, Teddy, and are eagerly awaiting their newest addition in 2024!  He enjoys staying active, especially going on family hikes around Virginia.  He wants to help people see better and enable them to take in nature’s beauty all around us.  This passion balances out his other love: food.  He and his wife take much joy in both trying new restaurants and recipes at home.
